Walnut Hill 2011
Walnut Hill was a very successful year for Kateland Farms. Wednesday morning, Starlyt Knight wins the first class which is Small Pony Progressive, with Libby, which included 15 competitors. The third class of the morning on that same day, Nikki Kane received second with Sydney in the Small Pony Reinsmanship. Starting off right from the beginning, Ted Jenney, already has a smile on his face. Moving on through the week, Kateland horses won numerous first place awards. Ending up with Starlyt Knight receiving Grand Champion with both her single, Dandy, as well as her pair, Dandy and Splash. Star also finished as the Reserve Grand Champion for the VSE Multiples division as well as in the Juniors division.

Kateland Activities for 2012 May 6th—Mini/VSE Fun Show This show has been put on by Nikki Kane and Ted Jenney for the past three years. The classes are split by adult and youth. The classes that are available are pleasure turnout, reinsmanship, working, halter obstacle, jumper, hunter, and cones! This gives a chance for ADS and breed show competitors to come together in one show. The cost for one entry is $40.
May 19th— Kateland’s Country Music Day Visit Kateland for this free performance. 2-5 pm– Mike Dale’s Band 5-8 pm– Ryan Klatt’s Band Food available from Charlie’s Truck This is a great opportunity for competitors and non competitors to visit the barns and the horses. The cross country course will also be available for a course walk at this time.
May 20th— Kateland Competition Kateland Farms is proud to run the annual Spring Driving Extravaganza which offers classes for the miniatures, VSE, ponies, horses, and multiples. Food will be available from Charlie’s Truck. The cost to sign up for this event is $40 for one division. Pamphlets for the show will be sent to past competitors prior to the show. Please email katelandfarm.com if you are interested. Print outs will be available on the website prior to the show.
May 12-13— Adult Weekend This adult clinic gives the opportunity for hardworking adults to catch a break on some fun and excitement with some driving experiences. This program is a hands on technique that puts people with the reins within the first hour. Multiple hitches will be shown in this clinic as well as longlining. The training is restricted to Kateland minis and runs from 9am to 4pm. This program is limited to six entries and is a total cost of $200 with lunch and drinks provided. |
